An inspirational documentary focusing on local Punta Gorda legend, Amanda Carr, and her ongoing journey to the BMX games at the 2012 Olympics in London.
DIRECTOR BIO
Andrew Marinari is a graduate of Full Sail University and Charlotte High School. Lately he has traveled all around the United States working on various documentaries, commercials, shorts and feature films, including a nationally-televised documentary about the NFL lockout and another documentary project with Lebron James. He has been friends with Amanda Carr since second grade, and hopes that their documentary will share her story with the world and raise awareness about the new BMX sporting events at the 2012 Olympics.
Frenchie: The Story of Jacqueline Jourdan (13:00)
WORLD PREMIERE DOCUMENTARY
Based on her self-published autobiography, this short documentary tells the story of Jacqueline Jourdan, who began her life as a Jew in occupied France during World War II and later moved to America to pursue a career as a chanteuse. Now an 85 year old grandmother living in Englewood, Florida, she is a regular singing performer at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County.
DIRECTOR BIO
Marne Adler began her career as an art teacher and then traveled the world studying scriptural stories, myths, and meditative disciplines. She returned home and spent the next 20 years as a successful artist, exhibiting solo shows throughout Europe and Asia. Later Marne enrolled in the San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking and went on to work on several films, serving as art director on White Rainbow (2005), which won the Director's Choice Award for Best Feature Film at the Sedona International Film Festival, and Ambidextrous (2010), now in post; and directing, shooting and editing Gypsies of Goa in 2004 for Elan Vital. She directed Frenchie in a documentary making class at Edison State, Lee campus, and is currently working on From the Mouths, a new film that explores the child-led education movement.

DIRECTOR BIO
Before discovering his passion for directing, Jamie Kassler was an aspiring studio artist. He attended SUNY New Paltz to study scenic and lighting design, acting, photography and dance choreography. He followed up with an MFA in Lighting Design at Florida State University's School of Theatre in 2006. He is a guest speaker for the Tallahassee Film Society, an active creative leader in local charity initiatives, and a member of the University Fellows Society at FSU, where he is pursuing a second MFA in Motion Picture Arts with a specialization in directing and editing.

Jillian is a timid hypochondriac whose only companions are her imaginary diseases. When pursued by the rebellious Dave, Jillian realizes she's actually “dying” for a real friend.
DIRECTOR BIO
Kate Emery is an artist from Orlando. She draws and paints and loves visual storytelling. She received her Bachelor's degree in Animation from the University of Central Florida and her MFA in Motion Picture Arts from Florida State University. She is currently working in Los Angeles on various motion pictures, including the upcoming films “Artemis” and “Hunger Games.”

Emma is a little girl who has spent her entire life glued into the same dreary city in a pop-up book. One day, she decides to pull herself free from the page!
Jill Hackett received her BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design in 2010, where she majored in Computer Animation. She considers herself a storyteller first and foremost and enjoys using visual arts to tell her stories. Jill currently works for the animation company Blue Sky Studios and has a credit in the recently released animated film, "Rio" (2011).
